Providing the evidence base to reduce harmful AOD use in
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Welcome to the AOD Knowledge Centre prescription drug use web resource - for people working, studying or interested in addressing the use of prescription drugs among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We aim to provide quality information and resources to support the reduction of harms associated with the use of prescription drugs among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The term prescription drugs refers to drugs such as oxycodone, codeine, benzodiazepines and other drugs which are prescribed lawfully but are not used for the purposes for which they were prescribed.
