Indigenous Dual Diagnosis project

Overview

The Indigenous Dual Diagnosis Project commenced in 2009, and aimed to provide training across Victoria to Aboriginal alcohol and drug (AOD) workers, as well as mental health workers, in dual diagnosis (when someone has an AOD problem and mental health issues).

The research project had three key objectives:

The Victorian Dual Diagnosis Education and Training Unit were funded by the Department of Human Services to run the project.
