Puyu Wanti (Help 2 Quit)

 

Overview

This program is an initiative of Port Lincoln Aboriginal Health Service (PLAHS) in South Australia. The program aims to increase awareness of the harms associated with smoking and promote skills for quitting in the local community. The key component of this program is a series of workshops, which explore the harms of smoking and the methods for dealing with cravings and triggers. Discussion is centered around helpful ideas for each individual to successfully cease smoking.

The program focuses on six key tips for quitting:

The program is open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
