Tackling Smoking and Healthy Lifestyle Program

 

Overview

Tackling Smoking and Healthy Lifestyle Program provided aims to tackle chronic disease risk factors including smoking, poor nutrition and lack of exercise, and to deliver community education initiatives to reduce the prevalence of these risk factors in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations.

This program will provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tobacco campaign activities, a tobacco action workforce, healthy lifestyle workers and programs and improved access to smoking cessation services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The program is provided by the South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) in Western Australia.
