Regional Tackling Tobacco and Healthy Lifestyles Program

Overview

The aim of this regional program is to reduce the onset and risk of chronic disease developed through tobacco use, poor nutrition and lack of physical activity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Cairns, Queensland. The program does this through the delivery of a range of activities that promote healthy choices and lifestyle changes.

The program is a part of the National Indigenous Chronic Disease Strategy and is being implemented by teams operating from 57 various locations Australia wide.
