Description

White gum is an online comic that explores the impact of tobacco on human health in Aboriginal communities.

Themes, such as family, death, youth and educational development are explored in a non-confronting yet realistic way.

The comic chronicles the progress of a community after the death of a community elder, through the use of tobacco. Immediately after the funeral, the community begins to make changes for the better.

The comic features an Indigenous community and was developed for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander readership by Inception Strategies for Sunrise Health Service.
