Aboriginal Health Conference 2017



The 2017 Aboriginal Health Conference, run by Rural Health West, is an opportunity for sharing information and connecting people that are committed to reforming the practice and research of Aboriginal health through strength-based approaches, Aboriginal methods and models of practice, Aboriginal perspectives and contribution to health or community led solutions, supported by cultural theories to Aboriginal health and wellbeing.

Underpinned by a strong conference theme, Champions, connection, culture, it will provide an inspirational platform for those with evidence-based approaches, improved health outcomes and successful projects in:

This conference will bring together health professionals, educators, researchers and Indigenous leaders from across the country who are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal Australians.

The program will also include an engaging schedule of speakers who will provide clinical upskilling and share their professional knowledge on relevant and specific health conditions that occur in a rural setting.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to network with colleagues and their families who live in rural and remote Western Australia and have similar interests in Aboriginal outcomes.

Closing date for abstract submission is Monday 10 April 2017.
