Wiradjuri Wellness Project improving local lives

Date posted: 21 December 2017

A new rehabilitation and mental health service centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in mid-west New South Wales (NSW) has now opened.

Condobolin Wiradjuri Wellness Centre will employ two full-time community wellness facilitators, a part-time program coordinator, and an Indigenous trainee to deliver intensive case management to individuals and their families as they exit alcohol, drug, mental health and other treatment services in the region.

'The success of this project is dependent on community support, therefore I’m pleased to say that the Condobolin Wiradjuri Wellness Project has been designed in collaboration with the community and has the support of local Elders,' said Member for Parkes, Mr Mark Coulton.
